How To - A Great Storage Tip for Quilters

Hi Friends,
I have a great tip for those of you who quilt.  My mother is a beautiful quilter and makes some amazing quilts for the bed or to be hung on the wall.  The quilts are seasonal and need to be rotated.

When you make a quilt, take your scraps and make a pillowcase out of them.  This does several things.  The quilt can be stored in the pillowcase when not in use.  Because the pillowcase is made out of the same fabric, you know what is in the pillowcase.  This is perfect for those of us who rotate our quilts.
The pillowcase is usable for the bed as it matches.
If you quilt ever needs to be patched, the pillowcase can be taken apart and used to make the patch.

This a great idea...........I love to quilt and currently have all my quilts folded and in the closet. I think I will get them out and find the scraps and make pillow cases for them.
