We are beginning week three!
This week I lost 1/2 pound making my total three pounds lost, 27 pounds to go.
I've been exercising at the gym EVERY day this week. Yea!!! I also have to report that I am already feeling better and have more energy. My focus this week will of course be to continue exercising. Now I also want to concentrate on what I'm putting in my body. I have a seriously bad sweet tooth. I crave something sweet after every meal. It really is just a very bad habit. I've tried already this week to start cutting out sweets, but my sweet little boy, Timothy, had his 13th birthday and that means cake. I cut only a small piece for myself, but there is always something around our house that involves a celebration or holiday and that means sweets. Yikes!
One thing I've noticed, and I'm not trying to divulge TMI, is I find that when I eat too many sweets I feel like a yeast infection is coming on. I've also learned over the years that I can avoid head it off at the pass by drastically cutting out my sweets and carbohydrates such as white breads and pastas. Those things also turn into sugar. Yeast likes sugar you know. If I cut those things out of my diet for a couple of days then everything goes back to normal on it's own.
I know white flour products need to be replaced with whole grain products. That is my goal this week. Eliminate those simple sugars. I think I am fine eating whole grains, potatoes and corn in limited amounts as well as eating fruit. I just need the right carbohydrates in my body so that's what I'm working on. It's going to be a tough week for me this week......
