Lets get to know each other

Linda from Prairie Flower Farm has put together this list of questions that I thought would be fun to answer.  You can answer in the comments or if you want, or take the list and put it on your own blog.  If you put it on your own blog be sure to comment with a link so we can all visit.  If you haven't seen Prairie Flower Farm it is such a fun blog and her style is my style.  Linda is from Kansas and Kansas is where both my husband and I were raised so I love the farm life.

Here goes with the questions...

1. Would you rather be knitting, crocheting, hand stitching doing embroidery, sewing using your sewing machine or all of the above?

2. Do you have any kind of crafty or sewing thing that you are working on now?

3. Do you like to cook from scratch or do you use prepared food?

4. Will you have a garden this next summer......what will you grow and will you start your own seeds?

5. Do you live in the city or on a farm which would you rather if you could?

And here are my answers....
1. Would you rather be knitting, crocheting, hand stitching doing embroidery, sewing using your sewing machine or all of the above?  Actually my favorite is paper crafting, but I do like sewing and crochet.  I don't know how to knit and I used to embroidery a long time ago.  Speaking of sewing, I'm looking to get a new machine.  I want one to sew and stitch monograms.  Any recommendations?

2. Do you have any kind of crafty or sewing thing that you are working on now?  I am crocheting an afghan and I am doing some paper craft Easter projects.

3. Do you like to cook from scratch or do you use prepared food?  Scratch when I have the time but I have no problem with using a boxed mix just so I can get food on the table.

4. Will you have a garden this next summer......what will you grow and will you start your own seeds?  Absolutely!!  We'll have tomatoes zucchini, eggplant and peppers from purchased plants as well as basil and stevia from purchased plants and I'll grow beans and peas from seed.  I want to try my hand at lettuce this year.  We also have grape vines and fruit trees, cherry, peach and plum.
5. Do you live in the city or on a farm which would you rather if you could? I'd like to live on about 3 acres in the city would be my ideal.

Now it's your turn.
Blessings,
Nancy

1. Would you rather be knitting, crocheting, hand stitching doing embroidery, sewing using your sewing machine or all of the above? ~ I mostly sew. I used to do the other things, but my hands have arthritis now. I still do some hand sewing, but mostly by machine.

2. Do you have any kind of crafty or sewing thing that you are working on now? ~ making Little Dresses for Africa. I plan to stuff a priority box with them and send them to Nancy's Notions and they will send them to Africa.

3. Do you like to cook from scratch or do you use prepared food? I almost always cook from scratch.

4. Will you have a garden this next summer......what will you grow and will you start your own seeds? ~ Yes. We keep a good sized vegetable garden and I start some of my seeds in a hotbed in the unheated greenhouse DH built for me.. tomatoes, peppers, cole crop, flowers.

5. Do you live in the city or on a farm which would you rather if you could? ~ We live in the country but not on a farm. I do have milk goats, though. :)

1. Would you rather be knitting, crocheting, hand stitching doing embroidery, sewing using your sewing machine or all of the above? I think I'd rather knitt...and sew...

2. Do you have any kind of crafty or sewing thing that you are working on now? I'm designing a christmas tree; complete with handmade bows and handpainted ornaments by me :)

3. Do you like to cook from scratch or do you use prepared food? I like to cook from scratch...

4. Will you have a garden this next summer......what will you grow and will you start your own seeds? Nope, no garden for me. I enjoy gardening every so often, so all my plants would probably die.

5. Do you live in the city or on a farm which would you rather if you could? I think the perfect place to live would be in a city, yet in a quite private part, near the water (like an ocean), on about 4 acres. I guess I would like to have a farm in the middle of the city. I'm just weird like that I guess :)

Hi everyone! This is fun!

1. Would you rather be knitting, crocheting, hand stitching doing embroidery, sewing using your sewing machine or all of the above? ~ I would like to sew using a sewing machine. I don't know how to knit and crochet. I've been learning how to crochet though.

2. Do you have any kind of crafty or sewing thing that you are working on now? ~ I just made a bag charm for my new bag yesterday and I cross-stitched a mini-pillow sachet (I have a post about it in my Crafty Hour blog).

3. Do you like to cook from scratch or do you use prepared food? ~ I love cooking from scratch.

4. Will you have a garden this next summer......what will you grow and will you start your own seeds? ~ I love gardening and I dream of growing an herb garden!

5. Do you live in the city or on a farm which would you rather if you could? ~~~ My hometown is in the city and my husband's in the countryside (quite far). We have our home in his hometown, but when he went abroad, I got so lonely there so I am now staying in my hometown until he comes back. I would love to live in the countryside, only I get lonely!

Have a nice day everyone!
